He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Watercutter and Mathilda Watercutter (Albers); his stepfather Anthony Hemmelgarn; his parents-in-law, Werner and Alvera Stucke; his sister Carol Hulsmeyer; his stepsiblings, Dorothy, Bill Brussel, Evelyn and Karl Ahrns; and his in-laws, Delbert Stucke, Jim Stucke, Gary Wendel and Bob Adams.

He is survived by: his children, Steve (Mary Watercutter), Doug (Linda Watercutter), Kristy (Mark Schulze), Mark (Kathy Watercutter), Brenda (Mike Robinson), Julie (Ron Dues), Sandy (Randy Mangen), Angie (Jay Siefring), LeAnn (Kevin Schmitmeyer), Jacquelyn (Eric Chivington), Mary (Ben Wourms), Sara (Bruce Harlamert), Kim (Daryl Scott) and Matt (Karla Watercutter). He is also survived by his 53 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren.
