He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Wayne Hanshaw and Ida Catherine Haye Hanshaw (Mynhier) of Lawrence County; his wife Betty Jean Hanshaw; and his siblings, Neve Nordhous Gray, Betty Burress, Donna Bazell and Jimmy Hanshaw.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian Wayne Hanshaw (Heather) of Hullett and Donald Hanshaw (Cindy) of Ashland Kentucky; his grandchildren, Cameron, Austin, Donielle, Graham, Olivia, Taylor, Mackenzie, Lakin, Owen and Francesca; his great grandchildren, Odin, Orion, Rayden, Lucille, Evelyn, Hunter, William and Violet; and his siblings, Billy Hanshaw, Bobby Hanshaw and Diana Hanshaw.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations, in loving memory of Wayne, to the Ashland Community Hospice Center, who took extraordinary care of him and the family as they said their goodbyes.
