With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herman Lumire Chapman of Coal Grove, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 28, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Chapman and Thelma Bragg Chapman; his daughter Angela Kay Chapman; his stepson Jami Porter; and his siblings, Clifford Chapman, Mary Gannon and Cora White.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Jo Porter Chapman; his children, David Lee Chapman (Karen Sue) of South Point, Kathy Cade (Donald Ray) of Ironton, Keith Chapman (Kendal) of Ashland and Debra Wilks (Paul) of Ironton; his stepsons, Richard Porter (Kathie) of Wheelersburg and Darin Porter (Tonya) of Wheelersburg; and his sister Betty Runyon of Purgitsville.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home (518 S 6th St, Ironton, OH 45638). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
