He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Rich" Sparks and Lucy Jane Holbrook Sparks; his son Curtis Sparks; and his siblings, Billy J., James Ray Sparks and Woynetta Sparks Carr.
He is survived by: his wives, Sharon K. Sparks and Fuiel; his children, Tamara Lynn Stanton (Randy), Annameta Sparks Cook, Robert D. Sparks (Dorothy) and Cody Aaron Sparks (Jessica); his stepson Dale Eugene Jenkins (Tammie); his sisters, Etta Roberta Sparks Ahl and Janet Fay Burton; and his grandchildren, Joshua Oliver Stanton Wayne, Chameleon Dwan Melvin (Jenkins), Kathryn Faye Jenkins, Robert Sparks, Hannah Elizabeth Pike (Stanton) and Colten Sparks.
