He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard Pearce and Margaret Pearce (Walter); his siblings, Patricia and James; and his nephews, John and Donald.

He is survived by: his wife Arden; and his children, Andrew and Margaret of Clyde. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Clyde Public Library, Sandusky County Humane Society and the American Cancer Society.
