He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria Carter Goon; and his brother Leland Goon. He is survived by: his spouse Cindy Bailey Stevens (Halstead); his children, Tina Brickner (Allen) of Florida, Wesley Goon (Evelyn Wilhems) of Rising Sun and Melvin, Jr. Good (Penelope) of Georgia; his grandchildren, Corbin Smith (Joni), Allen Smith (Heather), Justin Comway and Kelsey Lasch of Cindy; his siblings, Ken Goon (Brenda) of Clyde, Wanda Schroth of Port Clinton, Robin Starkey (Kurt) of Pemberville and Sue Atling (Jeff) of Oak Harbor; his sister-in-law Susan Goon of Elmore; and also, Susan Peak of Fremont, Linda Lasch (Kelly) of Collins and Jason Bailey.
