She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Heisler and Hazel Heisler (Blinzley); her husband Cecil "Joe" Sawyer, Jr.; her daughters, Sheryl Pero and Melinda Larkins; her great grandchild Nathaniel Sowards; and her brother Richard Heisler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Michele Waterfield (Jim) of Fremont, Susan Nichols (Paul) of Clyde and Lori Rogers (Curtis) of Clyde; and her sisters, Deanne Trill of Palm Harbor, FL and Cynthia Shoup (Ken) of Willard. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Karen's honor to ProMedica Hospice, 907 W State ST Ste A, Fremont, OH 43420, or to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
