He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Kear; and his stepfather Howard "Woody" Plank. He is survived by: his wife Ann (Owen); his mother Glenna Plank (Gregory) of Tiffin; his children, Paige Kear of Fremont and Parker Kear of Clyde; his sister Heather Grover (Paul) of Tiffin; and his nephews, Nick and Nate Grover.
