He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Shearer and Lilly Shearer (Lawson); his wife Sarah "Toby" Shearer (Witt); and his son-in-law Gary Hollingsworth. He is survived by: his children, Sue Hollingsworth of Clyde, William Shearer (Yvonna) of Clyde, Teresa Durnwald (Bruce) of Vickery and Rick Shearer (Christine Smith) of Clyde; and his grandchildren, Jim Stroker (Stephanie), Carolyn Pofok (Bob), Bruce Durnwald (Jennifer), Brock Durnwald, Brandon Durnwald (Angela), Austie Wright (Derek), Nathan Shearer (Jana), A. B. Tanner Shearer, Kyle Shearer (Kendra), Keith Shearer (Valorie), Emily Cupp (Robby), Samantha Shearer and Molly Shearer. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
