He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Sawyer, Sr. and Helen Sawyer (Griffin); his great grandchild Nathaniel Sowards; and his sisters, Gloria Neal and Jenny Ann Pring.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Sawyer (Heisler) of Clyde; his daughters, Sheri Pero of Clyde, Melinda Larkins (Curtis) of Republic, Michele Waterfield (James) of Fremont, Susan Nichols (Paul) of Clyde and Lori Rogers (Curtis) of Bellevue; and his sister Jean Stewart of Lakeland, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Buddy.
Services for Joe will be held privately. His family would like to remind everyone the importance of wearing a mask and social distancing.
