It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty J. Chance of Clinton, Ohio, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Schlagenshauser and Daisy Schlagenshauser; her husband James; her daughter Cindy Greathouse; her brothers, George and Joe; and her stepson Wayne.

She is survived by: her children, Brenda Dillon (Darrell), John Chance, Jay Chance (Nicole) and Margi Gurley (Dan). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
