He is survived by: his parents, Leola Whitt and Edward Whitt; his brothers, Kenneth Cagle, Barry Cagle, Dennis Whitt and Randy Whitt; his sister-in-law Mary Whitt; his niece Melinda Gullett (Cody); his nephew Christopher Whitt (Erin); his brothers, Gary Cagle (Donna Hoffman) and Roger Cagle (Denise); and his nieces and nephews, Erik (Jennifer), Andra, Natalie, Carson (Lindsay), Fahren and Lauren (Luke).

“I knew Paul indirectly through Randy and Mary Whitt. While not a personal acquaintance, here is what I can say; Paul was loved and returned that love with unconditional abandon. Mary's eyes sparkled every time she spoke about Paul watching baseball, acting goofy, and his fooling around with family and friends. Randy never portrayed Paul as anything other than the joyful center of their home. I'm glad Paul touched my life, however indirectly. I will miss his light. May he rest in peace.”
