He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Pieczonka and Oscar Pieczonka; his sibling Jerry Pieczonka (Erma); and his parents-in-law, Bill and Kate Franz.

He is survived by: his wife Julie Franz Pieczonka; his children, Todd Pieczonka, Marcy Stinson (Ed), Gwendolyn Bohman, Megan Molchany (Damien) and Gretchen Hancock (Daniel); his grandchildren, Cory Stinson (Amber), Payton Stinson (Daniel Louis), Bailey Stinson, Ava Pieczonka, Will Pieczonka, Willa Hancock and Knox Molchany; his great grandchildren, Raelynn Stinson and Emmett Stinson; his brother Louis Pieczonka (Barbara); his brothers-in-law, William Franz (Laurie), Gary Franz (Debbie) and Eric Franz (Melissa); and his nieces and nephews, Junior and Reggie.
