He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Hicks Barnes; his son Wesley Vance; his parents, Martha L. Barnes and James E. Barnes; and his siblings, Shirley Vance, Evelyn Tharp, Kenneth King and Jimmy Barnes.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Hicks (Tammy), Rachele Barnes, James Barnes (Toni) and Chrissy Barnes; and his brother-in-law Richard "Hudey" Hicks. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the funeral home to help defray cemetery expenses.
