She was predeceased by: her parents, Buck Hardy and Azelene Knox Hardy; her husband Joseph; and her siblings, Pearlene Hardy Bennett, Lallie McGee, Sally Mae Hardy, Elbert, Velbert, Buck Jr. and Henry Hardy.
She is survived by: her son Bertrand Joseph Gray; her daughter-in-law Tanesha Daniels-Gray; her grandchildren, Xyviera, Terran and Jordan Gray; her great grandchild Rosae Gray; and her sister Fannie Lee Pruitt. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In 1979 Mrs. Gray received the Jennings Scholar Award for Excellent Teaching from the Martha Halden Jennings Foundation of Cleveland, OH.
