He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl "Dutch" and Dorothy Maurer; and his brother Les Maurer. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his daughters, Laura Gaspar (Joe) and Sandy Richards (Jason); his grandchildren, Taylor Krafcik, Samantha Guzowski, Phoebe Guzowski, Madison Gaspar and Mia Richards; and his brothers, Dana Maurer (Linda) and Eric Maurer (Nancy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
