He was predeceased by: his daughter Heidi Frietchen; his parents, Georgios Katsikas and Helen Katsikas; and his siblings, Angela Haritatos and Evmorfia Katsikas.
He is survived by: his children, George Katsikas (Scott) and Mary Ellen Katsikas (Daren Poppen); his grandchild Gianna Poppen; his significant other Louise Frietchen; his extended family Holly Frietchen; his sons, Konstantinos, Joshua and Andrew Frietchen (Patti); his grandchildren, Sara, Amanda, Jacob and Jordan; his son Michael Frietchen; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Brandy, Carrie Ann, Andrew and Reno; his brother John Katsikas; and also Irene Katsikas. He is also survived by 13 great- grandchildren.
He was proud of his Greek heritage, a long-standing member of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) and Sterea Hellas Foundation of Cleveland. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 2187 W. 14th St., Cleveland, OH 44113.
