He was predeceased by: his brother Hosea. He is survived by: his children, Ibn, Sharika, Janan (Chris), Zayd and Amani (Calvin); his parents, Elvira Smith and Timothy James Smith; and his siblings, Myra (Ross), Eva, Annise (Victor), Nylee Tracy, Timothy (Marsha), Fred and Lavar. He is also survived by five grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, other family and dear friends.
