She was predeceased by: her father Emanuel Gerome Burton Sr.; and her sister Diane Deadwyler. She is survived by: her mother Gladys Dorothy LaSure; her husband Ronald Sims Sr.; her children, Tameka Hale (Michael), Ronald Sims II (Yanela) and Ryan Sims Sr.; her grandchildren, Aeriella, Marcel, Maxwell, Ryan II, Royce, Marianela and River; and her siblings, Geraldine Overstreet, Mary Woods (Thomas), Lillian Reedy (Ilo) and Emanuel Burton II.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Cleveland Memorial Gardens (4324 Green Rd, Cleveland, OH 44128).
