He is survived by: his wife Diane Mora-Velez; his children, Abel Velez, Jayden, Teyanna, Tyler Carroll and Dominic Velez; his parents, Marlyn Dickson (Thomas) and Johnny Velez, Sr. (Edna); his siblings, Derrick Joiner (Megan) and Marlyn Lashanda Velez; and his stepsisters, Marisol Serrano, Mercedes Serrano, Precioa Horton and Latoya Dixon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
