She was predeceased by: her parents, George Brown, Sr. and Sarah Ann Evans Thompson; and her siblings, Sgt. Thomas Downey, Jr., Sarah Brown, Nancy Kenney and Laverne Nieves.
She is survived by: her children, Dwight Reed, Joan Childs (Jeffrey), Frances Graham (Tecumseh, Jr.), Eliza Taylor, Jonathan Reed, Eric Reed, Clarence Reed III and Rodney Reed; and her brother George Brown, Jr.. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
