Harold R Leighton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 22, 2024, at the age of 90, Harold R Leighton of Cleveland, Ohio, born in Mount Vernon, Maine passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Harold R Leighton to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin W. Leighton and Nelda Leighton (Halliday); his wife Norma I. Leighton (Currier); his sons, Larry Harold and Lee Herbert Leighton; and his siblings, George, William, Ervin "Tunny" Leighton, Edna Hall, Mary Meader and June Rackliff.
He is survived by: his daughter Lorna Leighton-Gidney (Andrew) of Augusta; and his grandsons, Drew and Leighton Gidney. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Plummer Funeral Home (16 Pleasant St, Augusta, ME 04330). A masonic service was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Penney Memorial United Baptist Church (393 Water St, Augusta, ME 04330).
