Edward Michael Wojtowicz Obituary
Edward "Ed" Wojtowicz was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend during his incredible 91 years of life. He passed away peacefully in the early hours of January 26, 2022, at his home in Seven Hills, Ohio. Ed was born in Cleveland to the late Adam and Stefanie Wojtowicz on December 17, 1930. He graduated from East Tech High School in 1949. On September 16, 1950, he married the love of his life, Joan. Ed and Joan had four children Michael (Debbie), Mark (Barbara), Matthew, and Margaret (Bruce); eleven grandchildren, Michael (Nicole), Brandon (Alison), Ashley (George), Megan, Zachary, Andrea (James), Rachel (Ben), Alex, Gabrielle, Olivia (Joe), and Quinton; and seven great-grandchildren, Brayden, Isabel, Addison, Mackenzie, Emma, Claire, and Ryker. Known as Captain Ed to many, he enjoyed his days on Lake Erie reeling in those monster walleyes. Ed was sharp as a tack, loved to chat on the telephone, and watched (and complained) about Cleveland sports and the weather. Ed is dancing again with his bride, whom he missed dearly. He cherished his family deeply and, even during his last days, he reminisced about his family and expressed the joy they brought him over his lifetime. Ed was one of a kind and was truly "golden" to those who knew him. Our loving memories of him will live on in each of us forever. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Febuary 5th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Parma for family and friends.
