She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Hoskey and Doc Sheperd; and her siblings, DocRoy Sheperd, Solomon "Son" Sheperd, Arnold Sheperd, Katie Sheperd, Eugenia Valentine, Octavia Hickman and Olivia Peck. She is also survived by three nephews, two nieces, many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
