He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Petry and Clara Petry; his stepmother Fannie Petry; his wife Lucy Petry; and his siblings, Frederick Petry, Joyce Poling and Eston Petry.
He is survived by: his sons, David Petry (Dana), Michael Petry (Gail) and Kevin Petry (Geneva); and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Anderson, Glades Barnes and Sandra Petry. He is also survived by three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
David's commitment and hard work were evident during his time at General Motors, where he dedicated over 30 years of service, making lasting contributions to the industry he was so passionate about. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cypress Hospice, 2 Berea Commons St #1 Berea, OH 44017.
