He was predeceased by: his parents, Connie M. Upshaw and Oscar Buchanan; and his sister Janice Upshaw. He is survived by: his siblings, Shirley Mason, Hilda Pace, Kenneth Upshaw Sr. (Patricia) and Myrtle Tammie Gates; his nieces and nephews, Tiquette, Joi, Kim, Ashli, Constance, Pamela, Julius, Richard, Michael, Kenneth Jr. and Jaineil; and his close friend Queenie.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gaines Funeral Home (5386 Lee Rd, Maple Heights, OH 44137). A wake was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church (11115 Kinsman Rd, Cleveland, OH 44104). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 10:45 AM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
