He is survived by: his children, Lula Spurill (Willie) of Chicago, IL, Mary Swoop, Willie Simpson (Shirley), Otha Simpson of Bolingbrook, IL, Jerome Simpson (Dorothy) of Colorado Springs, CO, Leon Simpson (Doris) of Covina, CA, Celestine Gary (Wesley) of Beechwood, OH and James (Maria).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Vines Funeral Home Chapel (211 B St SW, La Fayette, AL 36862).
However, Charlie was recognized by the U.S. House of Representatives and Cleveland City Council for his contributions to the Garrett Square Economic Development Corp.
