He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Lee Carter Sr. and Sarah Ruth Carter (Clardy); and his siblings, Elaine Carter, Shirley Benson, Mary Belle Carter, Nellie Bradley and Andrew Lee Carter Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Lucille P. Carter (Worley); his children, La Vette Carter, Sylvia Carter-Naylor (Lloyd), Aaron Carter (Susan), Timothy Carter (Deanica), Stephanie Carter and Michael Carter (Alexis); his brother Robert Carter; and his extended family Christian. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
