She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Poling; her children, Chris (Deanna) and Dan Poling (Shana); her grandchildren, Andrew, Evan, Annika and Belanna Poling; her siblings, William Bott, Elizabeth Ihde, Cecilia Moore and Bridget Magar; and her nieces and nephews, Benjamin Ihde, Jonah Magar and Brenna Magar.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Barbara's favorite charity, Habitat for Humanity.
