He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Amalija; and his siblings, Joze, France (Marja), Francka Komidar (late Stane), Barbara Marincic (late Mirko), Janez (Zdenka), Jernej, Sr., Minka and Antonija.

He is survived by: his wife Ludmila "Milka"; his children, Miriam and Rudy; and his siblings, Matija (Angela), Ana Slana (late Zvone), Tereza Kaiser (late Marjan), Lojze (Angela), Rozka Kateren (late France) and Zofka Stajnsek (late Joze). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Tone to Divine Word Catholic Church.
