He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Stern and Shirley Whitman Bernstein. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Lauren Scherr (Eric) and David (Danielle); his grandchildren, Ethan, Graydon, Grant and Caroline; and his brother Dr. Don Stern of Boston.

Due to the pandemic, family requests no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts to Bellefaire JCB.
