He was predeceased by: his sister Tracy; and his brother-in-law Lawrence. He is survived by: his wife Jane; his sons, Charles (Leslie Munsell), Rob (Brian Nagai) and William (Heidi Krizer Daroff); his grandchildren, Adam (Jourdan), Sophie, Liza, Lily, Reid and Arianna; his brother Stephen (Linda); and his brother-in-law Sanders (Jeannie).

A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel (1985 S Taylor Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118). A shiva was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Robert B. Daroff MD Endowment in Neurological Education at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
