Richard S. Rivitz Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Rivitz and Hirsh Rivitz. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Leslie Insul (Marc) and Marc Rivitz (Thais); his grandchildren, Brandon, Jamie, Lauren Insul, Aaron and Gabi Rivitz; his brother Larry Rivitz (Jan) of Baltimore; and his siblings-in-law, Norman Lockshin (Sheila) and Nancy Hart (William). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Congregation Mishkan Or (26000 Shaker Blvd, Shaker Heights, OH 44122). A shiva was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cleveland Racquet Club (130 Woodburn Dr, Moreland Hills, OH 44022).
He spent over three decades devoting much of his free time to Menorah Park, including chairing the Menorah Park Foundation until 2023.
