She was predeceased by: her husband Sylvester Thomas; and her siblings, Bernice Brown (Russell), Frank Herring Robert (Janie) and Lucille Gilbert (Al). She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Thomas and Alisa Thomas Dempsey (Jay); her grandchildren, Phillip, Samantha Parker and Zachary Dempsey; and her siblings, R. C. Herring, John Harris, Betty Starke (Evans) and Clifford Griffin (Sandra). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
