She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Chesluk and Simon Chesluk; and her husband Bernard Smith. She is survived by: her children, Devorah (Joe Leva) and Jonathan Smith (Leena Nevalainen-Smith).
A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel (1985 S Taylor Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118). A reception was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Deer Creek Lodge (Formerly Wiggins Place) (27070 Cedar Rd, Beachwood, OH 44122).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hannah Perkins Center for Child Development (hannaperkins.org) or League of Women Voters' Education Fund (lwv.org) any other cause about which you feel deeply and want to support.
