He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn; his daughter Sharon Benning (Bruce); and his siblings, Jerry Shultz (Marlene) and Elaine Friedman. He is survived by: his sons, Mark Shultz and Eric Shultz (Myra); his grandchildren, Andrea Benning (Darren Caudill), Lauren Maj (Sam), Courtney Romanin (Daniel) and Nate Shultz (Alexis); and his great grandchildren, Theodore, Lark, Ava and Hudson.

A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel (1985 S Taylor Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118). A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 4:00 PM.
