He was predeceased by: his parents, Vaughn M. Thorne and Ethel Thorne; and his siblings, Douglas J. Thorne and Karen L. Zimmerman. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Berlin (Dan) and Doug Thorne (Nancy); his granddaughters, Hannah Berlin, Emily Berlin and Georgia Thorne; and his friend Suzanne Thorne.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association, American Heart Association or a charity of your choice in his memory.
