He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Sustin and Yetta Sustin; and his aunt Goldie Rashkow. He is survived by: his wife Amy (Goldsmith); his children, Michael, Mark, Beth and Daniel (Sarah); his grandchildren, Grace, Alex and Brynn; and his brother Kenneth Sustin.
