He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Spencer and Mae Spencer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Spencer; his sons, Robert Spencer and Dr. Scott Spencer; and his daughter-in-law Carey Spencer.
Dr. Spencer is and inductee into the Hall of Fame for the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine for his immense contributions to the college and the field of Podiatry.
