He was predeceased by: his wife Carol V. Mescher (Vehorn); his parents, William Mescher and Anna Mescher (Overman); his son Steven Mescher; his grandson Cole Johns; and his siblings, Rita Sullivan, George Mescher, John Mescher, Paul Mescher, Thomas Mescher, Albert Mescher, Alvin Mescher, Alvina Kuether, Agnes Hoying and Grace Selhorst.
He is survived by: his children, Lora Mescher, Lynn Mescher, Dan Mescher, Lisa Mescher (Curt Hefelfinger) and Ron Mescher (April); and his sister Marie Schmidt. He is also survived by daughter-in-law: Jan Mansfield, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
