He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gilbert and Stella Ash; and his brothers, Clifford, Paul and Junior Ash.
He is survived by: his sons, Les (Melinda) and Mike (Susie); his grandsons, Andy, Matthew (Stephanie) and Nathan; and his siblings, Rachel Bledsoe, Loudema Bloomer, Susie Hensley and Verlin Ash.
