He was predeceased by: his parents, William Melvin "Boots" Dickey and Pauline Ruth Dickey; and his stepfather Willard Castle. He is survived by: his wife Martha of Clayton; his sister Wanda Caupp (Jim) of Greenville; his son Gareth Dickey (Irene) of Centerville, OH; his grandson Chris Dickey (Samantha); his great grandchild Graham of Centerville, OH; his grandson Matt Dickey (Lauren); his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Lucas and Hudson of Kettering, OH; his grandson Michael Dickey of Chicago, IL; his daughter Gayle Bashor (Rick) of Lafayette, CO; and his grandchildren, Devin Huston of Broomfield, CO, Ian Huston (Shy) of Denver, CO and Kaitlyn Huston of Virginia Beach, VA..
