She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Russell and Minnie Elizabeth Ellis (Jacobs); her parents-in-law, Arthur and Ruth Cain; her brother Floyd Ellis; and her sister-in-law Barbara Tucker.
She is survived by: her husband Norman Eugene "Gene" Cain; her children, Russell "Rusty" Cain (Cindy) of Waynesville and Michele "Mike" Cain of Wilmington; and her grandchildren, Moriah Gross (Craig), Alana Cain, Brett Cain, Shawna Sulikowski (Ted), Amber Hollingsworth, Chloe Hemingway, Brittany Hollingsworth (Matt Cremeans), Levi Hollingsworth, Nevarre Mulderink, Jeremy Jackson (Nikki), Aimee Saunders and Scarlett Wolfinbarger (Paul). She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and was very close to her in-laws.
