We are sad to announce that on January 6, 2022, at the age of 71, James Edward Petrik of Claridon, Ohio, born in Garfield Heights, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Petrik and Jean Petrik (Carpenter); his sister Joan; his brother-in-law Dan Malone; and his brother David Petrik.

He is survived by: his wife Gwen Petrik (Leamer); his children, Chad Petrik (Genny), Jason Petrik (Cindy) and Jessica Sestak (Clinton); his grandchildren, Austin, Liam Petrik, Ashley, Megan Petrik, Hadley, Caden, Piper and Lila Sestak; and his sister-in-law Ruth Petrik.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Russ Ward Scholarship Foundation, 365 Sylvia Drive Chardon, OH 44024. Jamey was a founding member of the Malone Invitational that benefited the Alzheimer's community and later became the Russ Ward Golf Outing which supports the Russ Ward Scholarship Fund benefiting students at Berkshire and Cardinal School Districts.
