She was predeceased by: her parents, Jennie Gibbs and Noah Gibbs; and her siblings, Noah Jr., Robert, Donald, Rodney, Doris, Lawrence and Eunice.
She is survived by: her husband Carl Burris of Point Pleasant; her children, Sheree Skinner (Floyd) of Lanoka Harbor, Steven Douglas Hellner-Burris (Janet) of Pittsburgh, Charles Burris (Betty) of Gallipolis, Carla Singleton (Tracy) of South Bloomfield and Janet Ellis (Scott) of Tucson, Arizona.; and her grandchildren, Jennie, Tracie, Dylan Skinner, Kaitlyn Boatright, Benjamin Hellner-Burris, Austin Burris, Michael, Matthew, Mitchell Kasee, Valerie Potts Kasee, Sabrina and Haley Ellis. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home (810 2nd Ave, Gallipolis, OH 45631). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Harmony House (a multi-purpose day shelter for the homeless) at 627 4th Avenue Huntington, West Virginia or to the Christian Church of Wilkinsburg 748 Wallace Avenue Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15221 where Sharon held her membership.
