He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank W. Hawkes and Esther Mae Hawkes; his sister Dolores; his brother-in-law Woodrow Carley; his sister Phyllis Hawkes; and his brother-in-law Thomas Sabine.
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Miner (Rodney); his granddaughters, Cynthia Miner and Crystal Pontious (Wyatt); his great grandchildren, Nolan, Elizabeth and Xavier; his brothers, Elliott Hawkes (Marilyn) and Rev. Branson Hawkes (Melissa); and his sister-in-law Bonnie Sabine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
