He was predeceased by: his father John Vangundy; his stepfather Dick Giffin; his close friend Tom Hunt; and his sister Geneva. He is survived by: his mother Esther Vangundy (Hedges); his wife Kim; his children, Mandy, Robby, Jimmy VanGundy, Heather Algoe, Bobbie Lenard and Lisa Drum; his grandchildren, Whyatt, Lily, Jackson, Bella, Carson, Emma, Laci, Christian, Autumn, Sarah, Gavin, Carly, Landon and Alexis; his great grandchildren, Alex, Obi and Maddie; and his siblings, Roberta, Skeet VanGundy (Pam), Randy VanGundy (Tonya) and Rick VanGundy (Jackie Hunt).
