He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dowland and Irene Dowland (Park); his sister Sandy Wilcox; and his father-in-law Bill Dountz. He is survived by: his wife Sue Dowland (Dountz); his children, Chris Homolka (Jeff), Michael Dowland II (Tracy), Jennifer Pummell (Tim McFarland), Justin Pummell and Jenson Shoemaker; his grandchildren, Brad Homolka, Brooke Homolka, Makayla Pummell, Chance Dowland and Corey Dowland; his siblings, Patty "Whack" Theeck (Tom), Rita Badder (Carl), Ted Dowland, Jane Dowland, Janet Smith (Wayne) and Danny Dowland (Misty); his pet Beau; his siblings-in-law, Becky Emrick, Teresa Demjen, Mary Bryant (Gary), Diane Sines and Don Dountz (Hallett); and his mother-in-law Martha Dountz. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
