She was predeceased by: her parents, James Vanover and Mildred Vanover (Yaple); her husband Earl R. Nelson; and her brothers, Jack, Carl, Chester, Billy, Junior and Donald.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rhonda Nelson and Martha Pontius (Scott); her grandchildren, Tiffany Rettig (Matt) and Tyler Pontius; her great grandchild Mason Rettig (Ellie); her granddaughter Emily Morris; her brother Jimmy Vanover (Eileen); her sisters-in-law, Mary Bland (Mark) and Peg Nelson (Howard); and her close friends, Mick, Joyce Dumm, Ronnie, Kathy Maxson, Linda, Angie Arledge, John, Carolyn Kiser, Charles and Carol Hammond. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
