He was predeceased by: his parents, William Neal Settles and Gladys Hatfield Settles; his former wife Gloria Settles; and his stepson-in-law Charlie Finley. He is survived by: his wife Betty K. Massie Settles; his children, Pam Markham (Tolby) of Wellston, Dan Settles (Cindy) of Austin and Lowell Wayne Settles (Brenda) of Tampa, Florida; his stepdaughter Cheryl Finley of Mt. Sterling, Ohio; his grandchildren, Tolby Neal Markham, Eric Markham and Tim Settles; and his brother Delbert Settles (Peggy) of Carter Lake, Iowa. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
